The Commerce Department and the team at the PA CareerLink® of Montgomery County help employers design job descriptions and identify the skills needed for a given job, and then leverage our database of the tens of thousands of job seekers who have come to the County for assistance in finding new employment. As part of the process, we evaluate each candidate for basic skills (reading, mathematics, analytical skills) and provide training opportunities for those willing to improve their capacity for job readiness.
Every business uses our services in its own way. Some businesses choose to post jobs on JobGateway®, receive help with pre-screening applicants, and initiate on-site recruiting. Other businesses use our expertise in identifying training resources, grants, and labor market information.
