Visit the History Center in our barn and discover the options for transportation in the early 1900’s from horse-drawn carriages, Model T Ford cars, trains or just walking! See an antique horse-drawn carriage, ride our carriage too! The air conditioned mansion will be open for guided tours too.

Pottsgrove Manor's staff and living history volunteers will demonstrate 18th-century trades, crafts, and pastimes. You may even get to join in! Activities will vary from week to week; be sure to call the site to find out what will be offered the day of your visit. All ages; suggested $2 donation per person.

Take a guided canoe tour of the Perkiomen Creek with one of
our educators! View birds as they feed along the creek, explore
the world of macro invertebrates, and hopefully catch a glimpse
of an elusive muskrat! PFDs, canoes, and oars provided. All
participants are required to wear a PFD. Registration is required.
For groups of 10 or more, private canoe tours can be booked for
any time throughout the week.
All ages; $15 per person.

Join us for a guided bird walk at Mill Grove. We’ll visit the creek,
cross the meadows, and hike through the woods on both paved
and unpaved trails. Children and beginners are welcome! We
have extra binoculars, so don’t worry if you forget yours or don’t
have them. Walks begin in the main parking lot. Facebook will be
updated by 7:00 am the day of each walk if we need to cancel
due to inclement weather. No registration needed.

followed by a themed craft to take home. Storytimes begin in the

Want to know how to enhance your property with native plants
while engaging in an exciting new program with National Audubon
Society. Adults will be learning about the importance of native
plants while taking a bird walk on the property. Kids will be doing
plant drawings, planting native seeds in take home containers, and
exploring the grounds. All families will be enrolled in the native
plant program and will have take-home activities and resources.
All ages; free.

Paddlers will meet in the boat launch parking lot at Lock 60
at 1:00 pm and will paddle 2.5 miles down the Schuylkill River,
portage about 200 yards to the canal, and paddle up the canal to
Lock 60. The paddle takes approximately 2 hours, depending on
stops. Pre-registration & life jackets are required.
All ages with adult supervision; free, donations accepted.

Come and help us celebrate this amazing little insect, the
butterfly. This annual program will include information on tagging,
feeding and raising butterflies. This year will feature local butterfly
enthusiast Ron Richael. There will be hands-on activities for the
kids and much more. If the weather allows, we will be releasing
the tagged monarchs so they can begin their migration south.
Weather permitting…all activities will be outdoors.
All ages; suggested donation $4 per person.
